Church Plant- Pogee, Sudan
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6a
There are many professing Christians in Northern Uganda and Southern Sudan, who know little to nothing of the God of the Bible or what being a Christian means. In January of 2008, Martin and I had the privilege of planting Calvary Chapel Kitgum together. Since that time CC Kitgum has thrived, it is now being pastored by a missionary and the Lord is doing a mighty work there. We praise Him that we got to be a small part of that work.
Martin and Suzan have the desire for a Bible-teaching church to be planted in Pogee. I will come alongside of them to assist them in getting things started, and our hope is that within a year we will be able to plant a church there. For the people of Pogee to be able to hear the Word of God on a weekly basis with solid teaching, it will literally change their lives and the community as a whole.
