- Please pray for Martin's son Esau who was bit by a scorpion again!! Pray for God's protection over Martin, his wife Susan, and all of their children.
February 8, 2012
- Erica has found a great housing option. The facility would be for Africa4God and would be used for living quarters for Erica, a learning facility for the ladies and a place to stay for short term missionaries. We are prayerfully considering this option but need the provision of $500 a month to maintain the lease. Please pray that God provides the money for Africa 4 God's base of operation in Kitgum.
- Africa 4 God needs approximately $20,000 for a vehicle. This is very important need for the ministry. Pray that God would lead Erica to the right vehicle that will be reliable, safe and strong enough to handle the difficult roads.
- Marilyn Fye will be traveling home this Friday. Please pray that God will give her traveling mercies and she arrives home safely. Praise be to the Lord for allowing her to help Erica establish Africa 4 God these past few weeks!
Updates to past requests:
- Praise God, Esau is fine now, the scorpion bite has healed!
- God has provided a lawyer.
- God is so faithful! We are registered with the district of Kitgum now. We have gotten all the paperwork we need and have given it to the lawyer to submit to the Uganda NGO Board. It only meets once a month, but while we wait we can operate because of our registration in the district. Amen!
- Martin has met with the drilling company for the second time today to discuss in more detail the specifics of where the borehole should go.
- God is raising up laborers for this work This is ongoing, but already we are seeing a lot of people rally together under this ministry of His.

- Mom spilled boiling water on her foot this morning, and burned herself. We put it in cold water right away, and someone gave us some ointment. Please pray for her. Amazingly, it should have been 3rd degree burns but it isn’t. God protected her!
- There are many physical needs, please pray the Lord will provide for each one in His perfect timing. Some of them include: a vehicle for traveling to and from South Sudan, Kampala, carrying supplies, etc.; a bicycle for local transportation within Kitgum; a compound for our office and discipleship training; a literacy teacher for the ladies; basic household items, etc.
- My computer charger burned out from the power surging, and I don’t have a power stabilizer yet. They don’t sell the chargers from here, but have to have friends buy one in Kampala and somehow send to us up here. Please pray for protection of both my laptop and Martin’s. (Thankfully a friend let me borrow a charger for today so I can at least come online and send this update.)

- Pray for Martin's 8 year old son Esau. He was stung by a scorpion and is in excruciating pain!
- Pray for Erica's computer. The extreme heat burned out the charger, and now they cannot even get to their emails.

MAJOR PRAISE REPORT
- The brethren at Calvary Chapel Whidbey Island in Washington are going to pay the balance for the borehole in Pogee! God is SO faithful! We will be able to get it drilled as soon as the company is available to do the job. The next big expense we have is a vehicle, and we look forward to seeing how the Lord will provide for this one. Please keep this in prayer!

- Please pray for safety and good health for my mom and I as we travel
- Pray for favor with the Ugandan government to quickly establish the NGO
- Pray for finances to purchase a vehicle as it is a much safer way to travel as opposed to buses
- Pray for the drilling of the borehole in Pogee
- Pray for Martin, his wife Suzan, and all of their children to be healthy and provided for
- Pray for the right compound, and the right literacy teacher for the ladies
- Pray that I can be a blessing to Lois and the children at Tender Trust Orphanage as I stay there
- Praise God, He has provided for me to return to the field and for my mom to join me

- Pray for a godly, honest, knowledgeable lawyer in Uganda to assist in the process on that end

- Pray for Martin, Suzan and their children (Jacob, Esau, Missy and Sunday) to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus and to have His heart for their people
